Meta Tag Analyzer & Generator: Analyze and Create Meta Tags

Need to audit a page’s meta tags or build them for a new site? The Meta Tag Analyzer & Generator has two modes: Analyzer (paste HTML to extract and score meta tags) and Generator (fill a form to create title, description, Open Graph, Twitter Card, and SEO tags, then copy the HTML).

Example: In Analyzer, open a page, View Source, copy the HTML, paste it in, and click Analyze to see what’s present, what’s missing, and a 0–100 score with issues. In Generator, pick a preset (Homepage, Blog post, Product page), fill in your details, and copy all tags into your <head>.

What are meta tags?

Meta tags live in the <head> of a page and describe the content for search engines and social platforms. Important ones include the title and meta description (for search results), Open Graph tags (og:title, og:description, og:image) for Facebook and other apps, Twitter Card tags for Twitter, and canonical and robots for SEO and indexing.

Why use a meta tag analyzer and generator?

Analyzer — See at a glance which tags a page has, which essentials are missing, and get a score plus issues (duplicates, description too long, title too long). No URL fetch: you paste HTML (e.g. from View Source), so everything runs in your browser.

Generator — Build a full set of meta tags from one form: basic (title, description, viewport), Open Graph, Twitter Card, and SEO (canonical, robots). Get a Google-style snippet preview and copy the generated HTML in one click.

Presets — Start from Homepage, Blog post, or Product page and adjust for your content.

How the tool works

Analyzer: Paste the page HTML into the text area and click Analyze. The tool parses the HTML, extracts title, meta, and link rel=“canonical”, checks for essentials (title, description, og:title, og:description, og:image), flags duplicates and length issues, and shows a score out of 100.

Generator: Fill in the form fields (title, description, Open Graph, Twitter Card, canonical, robots, etc.). The preview shows how the snippet can look in search. Click Copy all tags to copy the HTML for your <head>. Use presets to prefill common patterns.

Frequently asked questions

How do I get the HTML to analyze?
Open the page in your browser, then use View Source (Ctrl+U or Cmd+U) or right‑click → View Page Source. Copy the full HTML or just the <head> and paste it into the Analyzer.

Why is there no “paste a URL” option?
Fetching another site’s HTML from the browser is blocked by CORS. This tool is fully client-side: you paste the HTML yourself, so no server proxy is needed.
